Short project description:
Astroida OOD is a mechanical engineering company specialising in machining and assembly. The project aims to overcome limited automation, insufficient traceability and the lack of integration between production and management systems, which hinder improvements in the company’s efficiency. With a view to modernising and digitally transforming its core production processes, and to achieving Level 4 “Transparency” on the Industry 4.0 Maturity Index, the project envisages the introduction of a key technology: Big Data analytics based on the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Following contractor selection procedures in accordance with the requirements of Decree No. 4 of the Council of Ministers, the following will be purchased and commissioned:
- Production data monitoring and analysis system – 1 unit
- CNC vertical machining centre – 1 unit
- CNC horizontal machining centre – 1 unit
The purchase of these assets is necessary for the introduction of “Big Data Analytics” and “Horizontal and Vertical Integration” in the enterprise. The planned high-tech assets are a prerequisite for increasing the company’s production capacity and ensuring the necessary technological capacity. The project comprises 2 activities:
- Introduction of new Industry 4.0 technologies directly related to the introduction of Big Data.
- Enhancing cybersecurity and data confidentiality, to be implemented through the introduction of a system for managing the storage and sharing of information. This measure ensures a high level of integrity and protection of production and business data.
During the implementation of the project, the visibility and publicity requirements under the provisions relevant to the project will be observed. The successful implementation of the project will contribute to raising the company’s level of digitalisation. The investments comply with the requirements of the “do no significant harm” principle with regard to the environment.
Project objective(s): The overall objective of the project is to increase the competitiveness, technological maturity and operational efficiency of the enterprise through the deployment of modern Industry 4.0 technologies and the comprehensive digitalisation of production processes. The project aims to build an integrated technological environment that enables the collection, processing and analysis of production data in real time, creating conditions for sustainable development and structured optimisation of operations.
Expected results: Digitalisation will enable a high level of automation of the company’s production and business processes through the introduction of Big Data and IIoT technologies. This will lead to optimised use of resources and reduced operating costs. The expected result is improved efficiency and productivity, enhanced cyber resilience and greater competitiveness of Astroida OOD on domestic and international markets.
